Let's Get Cracking

Soooo...First blog. At first when I thought of starting one, I wondered if it was a good idea. But this fellow blogger/friend of mine, Aditi Peachy, told me I should. Been a couple of months to that. Anyway, I finally felt like I wanted to- So hereee I am.

Ok, so I love food. Cooking food. Eating food. Taking pictures of food. Everything about food. And I love people. My favouuurite (apart from my retarded sister) is my boyfriend- people call him 'Ishu'- and he makes really good eggs, read: American style; scrambled. So inspired by him, the other day, I decided to look up the recipe and get cooking.

"Simple, piece of cake!", I thought, looking at the recipe, 4 eggs, some milk, salt, pepper, lalala.
Expected result: creamy, light, scrambled eggs, taste good with toast.

So I get a bowl out, get some lovely eggs out, right? I get the salt, pepper, milk, some butter (FATTT). Then, I try acting real smooth and crack the first egg on the rim of the bowl, like 'em Masterchefs. But I totally fail cause a few bits of the eggshell went in there too and I got out whatever I could. By the time I was on my fourth egg, I was feeling like a loser. Anyway, I was still holding on hope. Whisked, whisked, whisked. A splash of milk, a dash of salt, some pepper, a chunk of butter and, "there we go", i thought. "Doesn't look so bad."

To be honest, I was quite happy with myself. I put the pan on the stove, waited for it to heat up. Poured the mixture on to it, and scrambled like crazy. It looked disgusting. And sometimes, my friends, looks are everything. It didn't taste excellent, is all I'll say. Lesson of the day: I should have waited for my boyfriend to cook them for me. Now, I cringe at the sight of eggs.

However, I cook a lot of other things with success. I'm good. Sort of. Don't let this stop you from trying this on your own. See you guys, soon. Adios :)
